Bothwell Longcase Grandfather Floor Clock
Contemporary Grandfather Clock.
Adapted from Tom Harris Clocks Ardeer regulator wall clock design. The Bothwell Longcase Grandfather Floor Clock’s simple lines produce a modern floor clock that shows off the movement fully from any view point in the room, through its full length glass door and side pannels; an ideal statement, yet functional, piece of furniture for today’s contemporary styled home or workplace.
The cabinet is handcrafted from a choice of British hardwoods, sourced locally from sustainable woodlands, contact Clocks & Chimes for more details; the images show the clock made in Ash; and incorporates a small drawer to house the winding key at the bottom of the clock. The movement is fitted with a genuine 240 mm (10inch) enamel dial with seconds indication.
Technical
The special Kieninger®-RSW seconds movement and extended pendulum is a 1/4 hour cable/key front winding movement with Westminster chime on 8-rod gong, automatic beat adjustment, automatic night time shut-off between 10.00 PM and 7.15 AM and complete chime shut-off facility.

Tom Harris Clocks is a craft manufacturer of bespoke and own range of floor, table and wall clocks, and specialising in Vienna regulator style clocks, built to order and designed with a contemporary feel. Each clock is made from locally sourced sustainable British hardwoods and is fitted with a quality German engineered clock movement from Kieninger® – the oldest existing manufacturer and Hermle – the world’s leading producer.
Resulting in a limited number of hand-built clocks, attracting the discerning customer looking for something unique and special.
Based in Lanarkshire, the business was set up by Tom Harris after a career in operations management in the public and private sectors. Having studied construction and design, Tom developed his clock building skills over the years, with formal cabinet making courses together with the support of master craftsmen. He builds his clocks to order, producing superb clocks that enhance today’s home, or workplace. Tom enjoys creating a beautiful piece of furniture, which others can take satisfaction in owning.
Tom Harris Clocks are delivered in six to eight weeks from ordering (subject to workload), and a deposit option is available to secure an order in the production schedule, with the balance payable when the clock is ready for delivery.
