HADLEY R1650 Regulator Wall Clock
The HADLEY R1650 Regulator Wall Clock is produced by Helmut Mayr in Germany, who combine traditional clock making skills with today’s manufacturing methods to produce this Regulator in old Viennese Biedermeier style; an exceptional compact design with elegant and subtle clock proportions, which are made possible by their exclusive HMW 111 movement.
Built to order, with a routine delivery period of six to eight weeks; this modern Vienna regulator has bevelled glass, features a genuine enamel dial with Arabic or Roman numerals, thermally blued Breguet hands, and has a carbon fibre tube pendulum rod to minimize temperature dependence.
The metal accessories are available in Brass or Chrome/nickel depending on wood finsih and the clock has a small drawer at its base. The clock case, with a superb finish – built up from layers of hand applied lacquer – is made from fine cherry wood, stained, to provide a choice of four finishes.
Like all HELMUT MAYR regulators this clock also has handmade weights and a carbon fibre rod pendulum with, diamond-milled Bob.

Over 30 years ago Helmut Mayr, from Andechs in Stanberg, Bavarian (renowned for its pilgrimage Abbey and brewery), set out to enrich the clock market, which was – and still is, dominated by mass-produced clocks from manufacturers focused on cheap production. He did this by embracing traditional manufacturing techniques, making a return to the days of master clock makers, with craftsmen utilising the highest quality components and cases.
The company today – Helmut Mayr Uhren GmbH, is located in Schramberg in the Black Forest, and is wholly committed to this philosophy. At this new location, which was once a centre of watch production, they design, develop and manufacture a range of high quality mechanical timepieces. Their modern regulators are cable driven, with ruby and miniature ball bearings, these precision manufactured components guarantee a high degree of reliability and longevity; consequently producing a sustainable product that fits more than ever in our time – classic products for 21st century living, which are likely to become a much loved future family heirloom.
